If, for health reasons or other unavoidable circumstances, you are unable to report for work as scheduled, you must report the reason for your absence to your supervisor at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled work time, unless a different time is otherwise specified by your supervisor/department. Failure to call-in may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employees must use available leave (i.e. vacation, sick, personal leave, etc.) when absent from work.  A department may develop an attendance policy.  Any such policy must be reviewed and approved by Human Resources and clearly communicated with staff.
